Welcoming families to Acelero Learning Centers in Aiken and Barnwell Counties in South Carolina
Acelero Learning has been awarded a five-year grant by The Administration for Children and Families, Office of Head Start, to provide Head Start services in South Carolina beginning on November 1, 2024.
Acelero Learning has been awarded a five-year grant by The Administration for Children and Families, Office of Head Start, to provide Head Start services in South Carolina’s Central Savannah River region beginning on November 1, 2024. An exemplar Head Start provider, Acelero Learning has been serving children and families for over 20 years, operating in 48 centers in four states. In South Carolina, Acelero Learning will ultimately expand operations and provide high-quality Head Start programs for 240 children in Aiken and Barnwell counties.
Dr. Rory B. Sipp, President, Acelero Learning shared that, “At Acelero Learning, we strive to eliminate the gaps between young children’s inherent potential and their achievement in school and life. We are honored to provide Head Start programs in South Carolina and eager to partner with local leaders, Head Start staff and families in the Central Savannah River region to achieve the greatest outcomes for the children of Aiken and Barnwell counties. As an Alabama native, it feels like coming home to my southern roots.”
To achieve the best learning outcomes for children, Acelero Learning will partner with local leaders, agencies, teachers, staff and families to develop and deliver high-quality, research-based programs and services that address the aspirations and unique needs of the communities in Aiken and Barnwell counties. Acelero Learning will collaborate with interim provider, Community Development Institute Head Start, to ensure a smooth transition of Head Start services this fall.

Acelero Learning will announce open houses for the Aiken and Barnwell communities in the coming months. Local leaders, teachers, staff and families will have the opportunity to meet the Acelero Learning team and learn more about their early education programs and family services.
