What brought you to Acelero Learning?
I was a Head Start parent 25 years ago and I would volunteer to help my son’s teachers. One day, the Director said that I should apply for a position, noting how much the children and families loved me. It was so encouraging, so I applied and shortly after started out as a teacher assistant.
What do you find meaningful about the work that you do with Acelero Learning?
I love to see the children’s faces when they have achieved something that they have been working on. I like science so I also love to see the children’s curiosity around how and why things work.
What is something people may not know about Acelero Learning that you would like to share with them?
We work with our community partners to help our families succeed in getting employment and in accessing resources. We work with families to help them grow and achieve their goals, including being able to take better care of their needs. We offer trainings for parents, including cooking classes, ESL classes, budget managing, and much more.
